Your location
The Qibla finder and the "use my location" option on the prayer times page ask your browser for your GPS coordinates using the standard Geolocation API. That request is handled entirely by your browser. Your coordinates are used only to run a calculation (the Qibla bearing formula, or a call to the AlAdhan prayer times API) directly in your browser. deen.cam has no server-side code that receives, logs, or stores your location. If you deny the location permission, every page still works using the manual city picker.
Your device's compass and orientation
If you tap "Enable live compass" on the Qibla page, your browser requests access to the Device Orientation API so the needle can rotate as you turn. This data is used only to rotate an element on the page in real time. It is never transmitted anywhere and never stored, not even temporarily in browser storage.
The Zakat calculator
Every number you type into the Zakat calculator (cash, gold grams, prices, debts, and so on) stays in your browser's memory for that page view only. Nothing is sent to a server, saved to a database, or written to a file. Refreshing the page clears it.
Third-party requests
Prayer times and Hijri date conversions are fetched live from the public AlAdhan API (api.aladhan.com). Those requests include the coordinates needed to calculate a result (for example, a latitude and longitude, or a city's pre-set coordinates) but do not include your name, IP-based identity information we control, or any other personal detail, because we don't collect any to send. AlAdhan's own handling of requests to its API is governed by its own policies, not ours.
Analytics and cookies
This site does not currently run third-party analytics or advertising scripts, and does not set tracking cookies. If that changes, this page will be updated to say so clearly, not buried in a long legal document.
Hosting
deen.cam is a static website: every page is pre-built and served as plain files. There is no database and no server-side application code that could log form submissions, because there are no form submissions; every tool on this site runs entirely in your browser.
